Who we are

First Fix Web is a trading name of Joe Howey, Office 7991GV, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA. We're the data controller for the details described here. Contact us at [email protected].

What we collect and where from

We look for local trade businesses with good Google reviews and no proper website. For those businesses we keep:

• the business name, trade, area, address, phone number and website, from its public Google listing;
• its Google rating, number of reviews, and a summary in our own words of what reviewers praise;
• for limited companies, the company number, status and registered office, from Companies House;
• the owner's name, where the business publishes it;
• our notes on when we contacted you and what you said.

We don't buy contact lists, and we don't collect anything about you as a private individual beyond what your business publishes.

Why we use it

To build a free preview website for your business and contact you about it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: offering a relevant service to a business, using information the business has made public. We only email limited companies. Sole traders and partnerships hear from us by post.

How long we keep it

If you say no, we take your preview down and delete your details straight away, keeping only your business name and contact details on a do-not-contact list so we never contact you again. If we don't hear back, we delete everything within 90 days. If you become a customer, we keep what's needed to run your website for as long as you're with us.

Visiting this website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and its fonts are served from our own server. Like any website, our server and Cloudflare keep short-lived technical logs (your IP address, the page requested and your browser type) to keep the site running and secure. We keep these logs for 14 days.

Who else handles it

Our hosting provider (Contabo, London data centre), Cloudflare (website delivery and DNS) and Proton (email). They process data only on our instructions. We don't sell or share your details with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold, have them corrected or deleted, or object to us using them. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
